Why is Gino D’Acampo leaving This Morning?
Gino D’Acampo has been a regular on our screen for This Morning since 2009, but announced today (March 29) that it’ll be the last time for a while.
The TV chef joined by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for his usual slot before his cooking segment.
While Holly and Phillip gave viewers an update on what’s to come on today’s show, Gino’s announcement left both of the hosts in utter shock.
He started by saying he was feeling a bit sad today and when asked why, he said: “I’m going to go to Italy very soon in the next couple of days. So this is my last This Morning.”

When is Gino back on This Morning?
Gino’s announcement left both Holly and Phillip in shock, with them questioning when/if he plans to return.
Gino said he will be leaving the show until sometime in Autumn or Winter.
Finding humour in the moment, Phil said “Thank God for that”.
Gino clapped back saying: “Did you just say thank God for that? If you two want to come on to the island of Sardinia we may do something live. Maybe we can do something down the line.”
Both hosts were thrilled with the idea and said they were both happy to do so.
The star has previously said that he thinks it’s important to take about six months off a year.
He revealed: “I’ve been having six months off for the last eight to ten years. I am a great believer that you need to have balance in life.
“If I work for six months, then I want to have a holiday for six months because my life cannot always be about work.”
He finished by saying: “I admire and respect people who have a lot of time for work. I have a lot of friends that do that but it’s not me.
