Zara McDermott reveals painful injuries just three days into Strictly training

Former Love Island star Zara McDermott has shared the painful injuries she sustained just three days into training for Strictly Come Dancing.

Zara McDermott, who rose to fame on Love Island in 2018 and later appeared on X Factor: Celebrity, is set to be the first Love Island contestant to take part in Strictly.

Underestimated Blisters

Taking to social media, Zara posted a photo of her cut-up foot while sitting in a car, admitting that she had underestimated the blisters she would get from dancing. Ouch!

Dreams Come True

Despite the painful beginning, Zara is excited for her Strictly journey and the chance to try on the glamorous outfits. In a recent interview, she reminisced about watching the show as a child and dreaming of wearing the dazzling costumes.

"It’s one of the best parts of the show, getting Strictlyfied," Zara said. "I remember watching the first series when I was seven with my nan... Even at such a young age, I was dreaming of wearing something like that and now I’m here I’m pinching myself every single second."
