Olly Murs reveals he’ll NEVER date anyone famous again as it gives him anxiety and he wants a woman to make him feel ‘alive’

OLLY Murs says he won’t date anyone famous again because it gives him anxiety.

In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report Online, the Troublemaker singer has revealed hopes of marrying a woman who makes him “feel alive” instead.

The 34-year-old said he won’t be pressured into rushing to find The One, but knows he will make a “great dad some day”.

It’s unlikely he’ll settle down with a familiar face though, as he insists he won’t find everlasting love with a celebrity – despite past fling with Melanie Sykes and being linked to X Factor co-host Caroline Flack (which both of them have denied).

“Listen, the day I put a ring on someone I want it to be for the right reasons and the right person”, says Olly.

“Not only do I bring out the best in them, but that person brings out the best in me. I want someone who makes me feel alive when I’m around them.

Olly enjoyed a year-long affair with TV presenter Melanie Sykes

“I know that’s not going to last forever, but I want to be in a relationship where I feel it’s the right one, and that takes time sometimes.

“Hats off to anyone who can date someone in the public eye.

“I’d feel uncomfortable because I’m a private person, I don’t know if I’d cope with it.

“Dating someone in the celeb world gives me anxiety.”

Olly recently revealed he’s had therapy to battle crippling panic attacks after his anxiety struck on The Graham Norton Show.

After discovering his triggers, Olly now feels more prepared to work through those head-spinning moments.

He went through a tough time after splitting from long-term girlfriend Francesca Thomas in 2015 and hasn’t been in a serious relationship since.

Olly admits that was the last time his heart was broken after realising the break up was a big mistake, and is now ready to find his soulmate.

“A few people who are married have said to me recently, ‘Olly don’t get married, stay single until the last minute,” he says.

“But of course I’d love to get married and have kids. I think I’d be a great dad.

“I love being around my nephews all the time, they are the best thing ever.

“To be a dad someday… I’d really enjoy it. A boy and a girl would be great – but just being in a relationship would be great at some point too.

“We’ll see what happens. There’s no pressure for me though.”

Since catapulting to success with an unforgettable performance of Steve Wonder’s Superstitious in his 2009 X Factor audition, Olly remains at the top of his game.

He’s preparing to embark on a 21-date tour across the UK, performing to fans from as far and wide as Aberdeen, Dublin and Bournemouth.

And to mark his ten-year anniversary in the industry, Olly promises to give fans a special moment on stage during the tour.

“The last ten years have been a roller coaster of emotions, but incredible.” he tells us.

“It’s such an achievement for me to come from a reality star background and sustain that for ten years.

“I’m so proud of that and the only reason it’s possible is because I have great fans.

“I want to make sure the tour is a real celebration of that and that story, so the show is going to be really different from what they’ve seen before.

X Factor winners Rak-Su will join Olly on his new tour

“It will be something really sentimental for them to take away and remember, and go ‘wow, that was a moment’.

“Have I changed? Of course I have. I’ve got more responsibilities now. I’m less wild, but my love and my hunger and passion for music and to get up on stage is still there.

“I think if that changed I’d be lost.”

Olly will be joined on the road with fellow X Factor stars Rak-Su – and potentially other special guests -who he predicts will be keen to party.

But the 34-year-old is more likely to be enjoying early nights in than boozing backstage.

He splits his time between being on stage singing and as a judge on ITV’s The Voice

“For me, going on tour is the best part of the job,” says Olly.

“Everyone thinks I’m this party animal, but I’m super boring.

“It’s so important to me not to let my fans down.

“I want to make sure they come to my show and remember how good it was, not that ‘we went to go see Olly Murs and he was all over the place, his voice was rubbish and he couldn’t sing because he’d been out the night before. That would kill me.”

His wild partying days may be behind him, but the cheeky chappy is still hellbent on delivering a party performance on stage.

The tour will feature Olly’s biggest hits, as well as his new single Feel The Same which has been co-produced by Nile Rodgers.

The “sad banger” as he calls it, is guaranteed to get people up on their feet when they pack into London’s O2 over two nights on May 17/18.

And, following high-demand, he plans to stick with his former tour tradition and rip open his shirt on stage in front of screaming fans.

He’s in better nick than he was when he first started out on X Factor ten years ago, and last year even ran the biggest half marathon in the UK, the Great North Run.

In the final weeks before the tour, Olly says he’s in “top shape” after banning binge food and hitting the gym to achieve what he dubs “the Love Island pack”.

The singer says keeping fit and healthy for his fans drives him

“I mean they’ve got eight, nine or even ten packs,” laughs Olly.

“I did well on the last tour and got maybe a seven and a half pack, but there was still that little roll there, which I couldn’t quite get rid, but that’s because I like my trifle and my custard.”

Finding time in between exposing his abs and judging on ITV’s The Voice, Olly has just landed his first ever acting role in Disney Channel’s 101 Dalmation Street.

He’s started out his acting career playing a Cornish dog called Spike, but after having a taste of the experience is keen to take up future roles.

“Being a voice-over for 101 Dalmatian street was an honour. It was something I’d never dreamt I’d ever do.

“I’d love to go back to school, back to learning again, grafting at it and getting better at it.

“I have done about 26 music videos and there’s an element of acting in those so it would be nice to revisit that at some point.”

But for now he’s fully focused on his All The Hits Tour 2019.

He added: “I don’t want to reveal too much, but there’s going to be some real special moments throughout the show which I’m really excited for fans to be part of. It’s going to be a fantastic tour!”
