AMERICANS seem to be turning against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — after they both plummeted in an opinion poll.
The couple, previously well-liked in the US, have sunk in popularity since Harry’s memoir Spare was launched last week, trashing the Royal Family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s popularity has plummeted in an American poll
The tome has become the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time.
But Harry now has an approval rating of -7, compared to +38 in early December.
Meghan sank to -13, compared to +23 over the same period, pollster Redfield & Wilton revealed.
Asked if Harry was right to reveal intimate conversations with his family members in his memoir, only 26 per cent said he was — with 44 per cent saying he was in the wrong.
But the book and supporting interviews have had little effect on some, with around 37 per cent of Americans having the same opinion of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they did before.
The poll, which was made up of 2,000 US voters, marks a serious backslide in ratings for the couple, who moved to the country after stepping back from royal duties in March 2020.
