EASTENDERS fans are in shock after Elaine Peacock betrayed her own daughter Linda Carter.
The new landlady of the Queen Vic – who is played by actress Harriet Thorpe in the BBC soap – arrived to fanfare last week.
Who was Elaine Peacock speaking to? Fans are livid she is betraying her daughter
She has bought into the pub so Linda could afford to pay off ex-husband Mick’s widow Janine Butcher.
Linda was forced to string the Panesars along – and lie to her best friend Sharon Watts about them buying into the pub instead.
With the Panesars having smashed the pub up in retaliation, and Sharon ending her friendship with Linda, Linda is at breaking point.
And tonight she opened up about why she wanted her mum to buy in over everyone else.
She told Alfie: “The fact is if I can’t have Mick behind the bar with me, then she’s the next best thing.”
And after opening up to her mum, Linda felt much better to be running the pub with just her mum as her partner.
But behind the scenes, Elaine was plotting to betray her own daughter.
Heading upstairs, she made another mystery phone call.
She told the caller: “I can’t tell you how good it is to hear your voice.
“You’re a tonic, you really are and I can’t tell you how much I need one after the day I’ve had. Just a few locals that need putting in their place, that’s all.
“The sooner you’re here with me at the Vic, the better.”
Fans are in shock at Elaine betraying Linda again.
One person wrote: “Elaine on the phone to George Knight. The Knight family are on their way to Albert Square #EastEnders”
A second viewer said: “who is Elaine looking to install into the pub??”
Another EastEnders’ fan added: “Takeover attempt time #EastEnders even your own mum”
Elaine had a heart to heart with her daughter but is obviously plotting something
She told the mysterious caller she couldn’t wait for them to join her at the Queen Vic
