KING Charles today unveiled the plaque where his mother the late Queen lay in state for hundreds of thousands to see.
His Majesty marked the opening in Parliament as he braced for tomorrow’s second instalment of Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix documentary.

In an escalation of the war of words, Harry is set to accuse his family of “lying” to protect Prince William but abandoning him.
Carrying on with his duties, Charles this afternoon went to the newly installed plaque in Westminster Hall in the exact spot the Queen’s coffin lay.
More than 200,000 trooped through the cavernous hall in September for a glimpse of the coffin following her death.
Charles is also met Parliamentary staff who worked during the Lying-in-State along with Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer.
And he unveiled a gift from Parliament to the late Queen – a pair of bronze lamps featuring the heraldic beasts of the UK.
Tomorrow royal attention will turn to the second volume of the Sussexes’ docu-series that will take fresh swipes at the Firm.
Speaking in an explosive new trailer, Harry said “they were happy to lie to protect my brother” – but added “they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us”.
While it’s not clear who “they” are, Harry then goes onto slam “institutional gaslighting” as shots of Buckingham Palace are shown.
Meanwhile Meghan claimed: “I was not being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves”.
In the bombshell clip, Harry appeared to claim royal officials were happy to lie to protect his brother William from scrutiny.
He said: “They were happy to lie to protect my brother. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”
