POP sensation Cheryl grinned from ear to ear as she chatted with the Prince of Wales at a charity event.
Prince Charles, 72, travelled to Newcastle to visit Cheryl’s Trust Centre earlier today to meet up with the singer.
Cheryl, who is an ambassador for the Princes Trust, officially opened the centre as a collaboration between the two in 2018, for young people in the North-East.
It is the first time that the ex-Girls Aloud star, 38, and the royal have visited the centre together.
The pair smiled and chatted as they handed out certificates to the graduates of the team program.
Cheryl, dressed in a burgundy and baby pink check jacket, looked stylish as she greeted the young people at the event.
Charles and Cheryl first met some years ago, thought he future King struggled to keep up with her name changes.
He joked at the Prince’s Trust Awards in 2018 about her ever changing last name, quipping “who’s Cheryl Tweedy?”
The Prince of Wales also met with representatives from London North Eastern Railway to mark the 40th anniversary of the city Metro.
He waved and joked with those who turned out to greet him, wearing a dapper pale grey suit with a light blue shirt and patterned tie.
The royal also visited the Changing Lives charity, which helps people experiencing homelessness through hostels and day centres.
The charity marked its 50th anniversary in 2020 after it was founded in 1970 in response to a rising number of people sleeping rough in the city.
