EAGLE-eyed royal fans think they have spotted a hole in Prince Harry’s story about his brother “knocking him to the floor”.
In his imminent memoir, the Duke of Sussex alleges William grabbed him by the collar and sent him crashing down on top of a dog bowl during a row about Meghan Markle.

Harry claims he was left with a visible injury following the argument
Harry, 38, claims he was left with a visible injury after the bowl cracked under his weight.
But followers of the Firm have discovered a photo which suggest it was made of stainless steel and therefore wouldn’t have been able to shatter.
One person wrote on Twitter: “Can someone tell me how a stainless dog bowl got smashed in Harry’s cottage?
“If anything his head would have took a real bang on the cupboard.”
Another said: “The dog bowls are stainless steel. I will just leave that there.”
Harry and Meghan, 41, lived at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace from 2017 to early 2019, when the alleged incident is said to have taken place.
It is not known exactly when the photo, which features in the Sussexes’ Netflix series, was taken, but it could be the bowl Harry alludes to.
It could also be one bought as a replacement, or an entirely different one.
Harry’s book Spare is due to be published on January 10.
But in an extract obtained by The Guardian, the prince claims William branded Meghan “rude” and “difficult” during a heated shouting match before things got physical.
Harry alleges his brother called him names then grabbed him by the collar, ripped his necklace and knocked him to the floor.
“It all happened so fast,” Harry writes.
“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me.
“I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
He says William told him to hit him back but he refused, and so his brother left “looking regretful, and apologised”.
William then reportedly told his brother not to tell Meghan about the confrontation, but she later noticed “scrapes and bruises” on his back.
The explosive revelations in Harry’s book include:
- Prince Harry claimed his brother William ‘attacked’ him in a row over Meghan Markle

Harry has promised to tell all in his autobiography Spare, ghost-written by J R Moehringer.
He is expected to reveal more than his Netflix series did about the way he feels he has been treated by his family.
The dad-of-two has already attacked the Firm in two TV interviews with ITV and CBS ahead of the book’s launch.
In a clip from a chat with Tom Bradby, which airs on Sunday, the duke says he wants his father and brother back – but he wants “a family not an institution”.
He also reveals how he wants to go to the King’s coronation but “the ball is in their court”.
And talking to Anderson Cooper, Harry says the family motto is: “Never complain, never explain.”
