Eamonn Holmes slammed by hundreds of Ofcom complaints after calling for Prince Harry to be ‘thrown over the balcony’

EAMONN Holmes has been hit with more than 400 complaints after saying Prince Harry should be “thrown over the balcony”.

The GB News Breakfast Show host, 62, did not mince his words last week when speaking about Harry and wife Meghan’s secret visit to see the Queen.

Eamonn Holmes has received more than 400 Ofcom complaints

He questioned why the Royal family ‘wouldn’t throw Harry over the balcony’

While talking about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to his co-star Isabel Webster, Eamonn said: “[He’s] gotta be photographed. He’s got to be on that balcony.

“He’s bringing a book out where he’s slagging off Camilla and maybe William and his father.

“Why wouldn’t they just throw him over the balcony and her with him?”

But his opinion on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not sit well with all viewers.

Television watchdog Ofcom received 402 complaints in the wake of Eamonn’s comments.

This was 252 more complaints than Channel 4’s Gogglebox sparked last week, after showing a sexually explicit show involving a woman and a duck.

Taking to Twitter, one of the complainants said: “I was one of the people who filled in a complaint form to OfCom.

“Although I know they’ll probably do their usual hatchet job, at least Eamonn Holmes’ vile & dangerous comment against Prince Harry & his wife Meghan—members of the Royal family—is being taken seriously.”

Eamonn has not mentioned the complaints on social media.

However, he has liked several tweets from fans who have voted for him to win a TRIC Award this year.

Both Eamonn and Isabel have been nominated for Multi-Channel News Programme for their show, Breakfast With Eamonn & Isabel.

Eamonn’s comments were also aimed at Harry’s wife Meghan Markle
