PREPARATIONS for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee are in full swing in Albert Square.
But during last night’s EastEnders instalment, fans were appalled when a portrait of Lady Diana vanished from The Queen Vic.
While parties are being organised across the UK for the big day, Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter (portrayed by Danny Dyer) brings the celebrations on screen.
During Tuesday’s episode of the BBC One soap, viewers saw the character begin to plan celebrations as Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is fast approaching.
This led to him reorganising the décor in the boozer as he chatted to Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) about his plans, which include welcoming the Prince of Wales and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall in Walford.
“You can never have enough bunting or sausage rolls”, he said as he held a photo of Queen Elizabeth which he was ready to hang on one of the walls.

However, outraged fans soon noticed that Mick had taken down a very important piece of artwork of Lady Diana Spencer and took to Twitter.
“They taken down the Princess Diana portrait I am offended”, one viewer wrote.
“Mick taking down Lady Diana photo”, another fan penned, followed by a string of shocked emojis.
A third chimed in: “Not them taking the Diana portrait down just in time for Charles and Camilla to come ahahah.”
“I’ve just seen the pic of Diana in the Vic. Has it really been removed?”, another questioned.
