BBC viewers were resorted to tears just minutes into the television special Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen.
The documentary, which aired ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, contained archive footage through her life, with most of it previously unseen.
The introduction, narrated by Queen Elizabeth, explained that the family had a love of filming their life.
Those watching at home were soon left in tears before the opening credits had even rolled, as it gave a few glimpses of Queen Elizabeth in her younger days.
Taking to Twitter, one person penned: “Literally 30 seconds into The Unseen Queen and I’m crying.”
In reply to their tweet, others posted: “So am I – it’s so emotional,” as another echoed: “Me too!”

The documentary showed the life of Queen Elizabeth through her own eyes and those of her family.
Footage also reveals her time as a young princess, through her wedding day to Prince Philip and beyond.
The 96-year-old, celebrates her Platinum Jubilee this year, marking 70 years since the took the throne following her father’s death.
Celebrations are ongoing around the country and, despite her age, the Queen has been attending a number of events recently.
Earlier in May, she officially opened the Elizabeth line on the London Underground, wearing a yellow ensemble in her usual colour-block style.
It’s reported that she does not plan to abdicate, however, her son and heir to the throne, Prince Charles, has started to take on more of her duties as she takes a step back on public engagements.
Queen Elizabeth II’s reign started on February 6, 1952, following the death of her father, King George VI.
