Fallon Sherrock is tipped to pick up a Premier League spot despite losing to Peter Wright

Sherrock, 27, will go down in history as the first woman to reach this stage of a PDC ranking major.

Sherrock, who averaged 99.9, said: “I’m so proud of myself especially, averaging nearly 100.

“I’m absolutely knackered now. I tried my best, I’m happy.

“This week has been absolutely incredible, I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I made the Grand Slam and I made a massive dent in it.

“Do you know what, I just go up there and play my game and put everything else behind me.

“I don’t want to put all the pressure on myself. If I get a tour card, then great. Or if I get one from Q School whichever way.”

“The Premier League is the biggest darts show in the world, this lady deserves a place in the Premier League.

“I had to play at my best there to try and beat her.”
