Season five will feature the breakdown of Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles, after they welcomed their two sons.
Elizabeth, 30, was seen dressed in character as Diana in jeans, a shirt and navy blazer as she filmed with her young co-stars at Ardverikie Lodge, which doubles as Balmoral in the show.
Elizabeth could be seen with shorter blonde hair like Diana’s, while the children playing prince’s William and Harry wore matching blue striped rugby shirts and jeans.
The trio strolled around the grounds while members of the crew could be seen in the background.
ALL-STAR CAST
The pictures come after The Celeb Report exclusively revealed Cutting It actor James Murray has landed the currently somewhat unenviable role of Prince Andrew.
James, married to fellow actor Sarah Parish, replaces lesser known Tom Byrne who played Randy Andy in series four.
James is currently filming the Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks-produced Apple TV series, Masters Of Air.
In the new series, James’ on-screen wife, Sarah Ferguson, will be played by upcoming actress Emma Laird Craig.
They joined for filming this week with the rest of the cast, including Dominic West playing Prince Charles and Jonathan Pryce playing Prince Philip.
Imelda Staunton will play the Queen, with first look pictures of her in the role released last week.
Meanwhile Lesley Manville takes over from Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret and Jonny Lee Miller will play Prime Minister John Major.
