A JOCKEY has been slapped with ‘one of the biggest fines ever’ after winning on a shock 40-1 outsider.
Top Australian rider Nash Rawiller was stung to the tune of £22,860 for excessive whip use on Think It Over in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick racecourse in Australia last Saturday.

Rawiller was labelled a ‘genius’ by Ozzie media for his daring ride on the huge longshot, landing connections a whopping £1.3million with victory.
The 47-year-old jockey, who has won more then £79m over the course of his career, went against every other runner and diverted to the far rail where he found better ground.
That enabled him to see off 4-1 Zaaki by half a length, with 60-1 Mount Popa a further four lengths behind in third.
But stewards were quick to notice the amount of times Rawiller whipped the Kerry Parker-trained six-year-old.
Hauled in for questioning, Rawiller admitted using his whip eight times before the 100m post – and a total of 20 times in the race.
In addition to banning him for two weeks, Rawiller was fined more than £20,000.
