PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have isolated themselves from their family because they’re “desperate to control their narrative”, according to a royal author.
Commentator Tom Bower, who is currently working on a biography of Meghan, said that the Duke, 37, and Duchess of Sussex, 40, will live to regret their “poisonous choice” of cutting people out of their lives.
Speaking to Closer, Bower said that the “stubborn” couple are becoming increasingly isolated in their California home of Montecito where they live with their two children Archie, two and Lilibet who was born in June.
He told the publication: “I believe Meghan is a very stubborn person, but I think eventually even she’ll realise that this isolated world she and Harry and built for themselves was a poisonous choice.
“They seem so desperate to control the narrative that they can’t risk anyone else influencing it – but this will simply cause more damage to them in the future, when their children grow up with no family around them.”
It comes after Meghan’s father Thomas Markle, 77, claimed his daughter ‘changed’ when she met Harry and “pretty much abandoned both sides of her family.”
The grandfather who has not spoken to his daughter in years, is yet to meet his grandkids Archie, two, and baby Lilibet.
And today he insisted Meghan, 40, “grow up” and make “time to talk” for the sake of her children.

Asked on ITV’s Good Morning Britain why the duchess keeps him “at arm’s length”, Mr Markle said: “I don’t know what changed her.
“She’s never been that way before and once she hooked up with Harry she changed.
“I understand she hooked up with Soho Club and a different group of people, but she has pretty much disowned both sides of her family and I don’t understand the reason for it.”
Thomas, who frequently slams the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the media, also said Harry has “abandoned everyone”.
Harry and Meghan have signed a number of lucrative deals since quitting royal life and setting up their family home in the US.
And they were ranked in Time’s list of top 100 most influential people last month after tirelessly campaigning for causes across the globe.
Thomas, however, insists the couple do “everything” for cash.
He added: “Harry is coming out with a book and that can’t be anything but cruel, and to insult his grandmother… it’s a ridiculous idea and it’s just something for money.
“Everything they’re doing is for money.
“To do that to your grandmother, who is 95 years old, is shameful.”
