HARRY Redknapp has joked that his beloved wife Sandra “won’t watch” his EastEnders cameo – despite being a huge soap fan.
The footballing legend will make his debut in the BBC soap this Friday and he will delight the Queen Vic’s owners Mick and Linda Carter when he drops in.

Despite Sandra being a fan of the Albert Square show, Harry teased that she won’t be tuning in to catch his cameo appearance.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Harry said: “I am a real East Ender and very proud of that.
“So to actually get a little cameo part in the show was good fun for me. I really enjoyed it.
“They made it easy for me, I only had a few lines thankfully, otherwise we could still be recording today.
“My wife loves watching the programme anyways – she probably won’t watch it when I’m on but she watches it every other week.”
BBC One viewers will see the footie icon handing over a signed West Ham shirt – the club he both played for and managed.
Other pictures show the footie legend, 74, surprising characters Terry ‘Rocky’ Cant and Billy Mitchell, played by Brian Conley and real life West Ham fan Perry Fenwick.
And East Londoner Harry looked thrilled to be on the famous set.
His cameo comes after he urged the soap’s bosses to give him a role in a Sun on Sunday interview in January.
The former West Ham boss plays himself in a scene in which he visits “good friend” Rocky – causing a stir as the Walford residents are celebrating the Euros.
He will also be seen strolling into the Queen Vic pub to have a chat with Mick Carter, played by another real-life Hammers fan – Danny Dyer.
Thrilled Harry said on set: “I’ve watched it (EastEnders) so many times over the years, so to be here is just fantastic.
“I just thought I’d pop into the Vic for a pint.
“It’s amazing being here, as I say, watching the programme for so many years.
“And my missus don’t miss it. It’s her favourite.”
