PRINCE Harry was mocked this week when he told people to be “like a raindrop” in his very woke speech promoting his new platform for environmental documentaries.
The Duke of Sussex also raised eyebrows saying: “Somebody said to me right at the beginning of the pandemic it’s almost as though mother nature has sent us to our rooms for bad behaviour to really take a moment and think about what we’ve done.”
That ‘somebody’ may just be his aunt Sarah Ferguson who delivered the same phrase at the start of the pandemic.
On March 24th she posted on Instagram: “Mother Nature has sent us to our rooms.. like the spoilt children we are.
“She gave us time and she gave us warnings. She was so patient with us. She gave us fire and floods, she tried to warn us but in the end she took back control.
“She has sent us to our rooms and when she is finished clearing up our mess. She will let us out to play again. How will we use this time? Xxxx”
It would come as no surprise that Harry is looking to Fergie for inspiration after we revealed last month that he and Meghan have grown close to her daughter Princess Beatrice and her hubby Jack Brooksbank.
Insiders say they are trying to create their own ‘fab four’ and have gifted the keys to Frogmore Cottage to pregnant Eugenie.
So just how close is the Duchess of York to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex? We reveal all all of the spooky similarities between Prince Harry andSarah Ferguson – red hair aside.
Fergie has been ‘in Meg’s shoes’
In December last year, as the couple looked to distance themselves from the royal family the Duchess of York opened up in a revealing interview how she can relate to Meghan feels “desperately sorry for the pain” she feels.
Sarah gave a rare interview with Vogue Arabia, and responded to claims that there are parallels between the two royal brides.
She said: “It must be hard for Meghan, and I can relate to her. I believe she is modern and fabulous.
“She was famous before. She is great. Why can’t Meghan be great? Why can’t she be celebrated?
“Any advice for her? I tend not to give advice because it is taken out of context, but I have been in Meghan’s shoes, and I still am.”
They share the same agencies
In June it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Harry Walker Agency – which also counts the Obamas, Clintons, Serena and Venus Williams, and TV legend Oprah Winfrey as clients – in their first career move since moving to Hollywood.
And there was another high profile name already on the books – Sarah Ferguson.
Twin tomes
The unofficial biography Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern Royal Family was released earlier this year and aimed to give a ‘positive’ representation of the couple.
The book is uncannily similarly titled to Fergie’s with the Duchess of York’s 2012 book called Finding Sarah: A Duchess’ Journey to Find Herself.
Not only that but in Finding Sarah, the duchess revealed her agent Ken Sunshine – now Meghan’s agent – told her to go on the Oprah Winfrey show.
Oprah is a close friend of Meghan’s and the Sussexes are rumoured to have chosen her to make their first big post-Megxit interview.

Meanwhile, Archie’s great-aunt Fergie has spent lockdown with her daily storytime series on her YouTube channel amassing 300,000 views.
And last year The Celeb Report revealed Meghan was in talks to bring out a series of children’s books.
Fergie has been a successful author since publishing Budgie The Little Helicopter in 1994 and has a seven-book deal in Australia.
Helping hands
Both Harry and Meghan are known for their philanthropic work and have been photographed handing out hot meals for people in lockdown in Los Angeles for the Project Angel Food charity.
And back at her home in Windsor Sarah was busy working on her own project.
Sarah’s Trust has arranged 150,000 deliveries of food and toiletries to NHS workers during Covid-19.
Double Duchess
After her divorce to Prince Andrew, Sarah no longer had Her Royal Highness status but she was allowed to keep the title of the Duchess of York.
Harry and Meghan have both remained a Duke and Duchess despite losing their royal titles.
