I’m a body language expert, Prince George’s subtle reassurance of Prince Louis shows strength of brotherly bond

THE ROYAL FAMILY stepped out together today for their annual church service at Sandringham for Christmas.

King Charles III and the Queen Consort, Camilla, first attended a private ceremony this morning before attending the public one with their extended family.

But the striking moment between Prince George and Prince Louis showed just how close the brothers are

Joining them were Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The family was all smiles today as they waved to crowds waiting for them.

And body language expert, Judi James reveals that the two young brothers shared a bonding moment before entering the church.

She told Fabulous: “With the newly re-formed royal pack arriving in force for their Christmas church service, it was one subtle but powerful gesture from George that created a poignant but also hopeful emotional moment.

“Harry’s Netflix show included footage and photos of himself and older brother William when they were children and it was clear from the poses how much William looked after and protected his younger sibling.

“With that relationship in tatters, this current Christmas appearance by four-year-old Louis showed a very mirrored moment between these new royal brothers.

“When the handshakes were over and the Cambridges went to walk into church, George instinctively bent his head to his younger brother to speak to him.

” (Prince George) placed a hand on his back in a gesture of reassurance and guidance.

“It is a gesture William and Kate have always used on their children and they were using it again today.

“But it was George taking over the caring role here and the sight of the older brother looking out for the younger, more boisterous one was like a flashback to the days when it was William looking after Harry.

“It was a moment of optimism too. William has always learned lessons from the past and perhaps his rift with his own brother will have helped him to encourage and build a stronger and more resilient bond between his own boys.”

In another show of unity, Prince William and Prince George wore the same suit to attend the church service.

The body language expert revealed that Prince George’s confidence at royal engagements seems to be growing from strength to strength.

Judi added: “George showed his growing confidence on public appearances by quietly prepping for the more formal moments.

“Walking with his arms at his sides he waited as his father shook hands with the clergyman but with his arms now hanging slightly behind his torso, we could see him flexing his fingers in a really professional way as he prepped for his own handshake.”

Both Prince Willian and Prince George wore navy blue suits with blue ties.

Kate wore a striking green coat dress with a large green hat, while Princess Charlotte sported a red coat dress and Prince Louis wore a navy coat with shorts and knee-high socks.

Monarch Charles will then celebrate Christmas alongside his family at Sandringham for the first time since the Queen died.

Today’s gathering will also be the first time the royal family has spent Christmas at Sandringham since 2019.

Queen Elizabeth II hosted 32 Christmases at Sandringham but was forced to cancel her annual festivities in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.

The royal standard is flying above the private Norfolk estate where Charles and the Queen Consort will be on Christmas Day, marking a return to traditional royal festivities.

The King has already recorded his first Christmas broadcast as monarch, which is likely to reflect on the loss of his mother and her iconic legacy.

The festive message was recorded on December 13 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Traditionally, members of the royal family sit down to watch the televised address when it airs after lunch, usually at 3pm.
