The Crown Star Receives Royal Approval

Imelda Staunton, known for her role in Netflix's hit drama The Crown, was honored with a damehood by Prince William for her contributions to drama and charity at Windsor Castle.

Royal Recognition

Staunton, also famous for playing Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter films, expressed her gratitude for the recognition, despite the surreal feeling of being honored by Prince Charles, whom she portrayed as his mother in The Crown.

Celebrities Honored

Other notable personalities awarded during the ceremony include M People lead singer Heather Small and Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon, both receiving an MBE, and former footballer Graeme Souness, who was made a CBE for his contributions to football and charity.
