WHEN it comes to the Royal family, nothing is done by halves, so it’s only natural that the three youngest members of the firm have enrolled at a school fit for Kings and Queens.
The royal couple today revealed that George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and four-year-old Louis have enrolled at the £7,000-a-term Lambrook School near Ascot, Berkshire.
Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte will attend school together from September
George and Charlotte previously attended Thomas’ School in Battersea, south London, while four-year-old Louis went to Willcocks Nursery in South Kensington, west London.
But after Wills and Kate moved the family from Apartment 1A Kensington Palace to four-bed Adelaide Cottage, George, nine, Charlotte, seven – who previously attended Thomas’s School in Battersea, London – and their younger brother Louis, four, will receive a top education together, complete with mandatory Saturday lessons.
If the royal youngsters attend full-time without boarding, it will cost the Cambridges an estimated £53,508 per year.
The private school is a nine-mile drive from their new abode near Windsor Castle, as they move to be closer to the Queen.
A Palace source today said: “This decision to move to Windsor and for George, Charlotte and Louis to go to school together was always about putting the children first. It is the best thing for the kids.
“Both William and Catherine are very keen to do the school run.
“Lambrook is very much sports-focused and all three children do love their sport.
“George, Charlotte and Louis are very excited about going to school together.”
Lambrook is a co-ed preparatory, that started in 1860 and allows part-time boarding.
It scored ‘excellent’ in its most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate.

Its first royal pupils were Queen Victoria’s grandsons, Prince Christian Victor and Prince Albert of Schleswig-Holstein, who joined in 1878.
For the past 10 years, it has been run by headteacher Jonathan Perry and his wife Jenny.
On the new royal students, headteacher Jonathan said: “We are delighted that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be joining us this coming September and very much look forward to welcoming the family, as well as all of our new pupils, to our school community.”
The duke, 40, who likes to do the school run, can now do most of the journey across private roads on Windsor Great Park to the gates.
Louis, who went to the Willcocks Nursery School in London, and his siblings will also be able to partake in various extravagant extracurricular activities all included on the curriculum.
The trio will be offered the chance to try out scuba diving, cookery, polo – and there’s even a nine-hole golf course for the kids to enjoy in the school’s sprawling 52 acre grounds.
As well as the traditional subjects, the school offers pupils the chance to try out scuba diving, podcast making and even a nine-hole golf course.
Chess, life-saving, bee-keeping and song-writing are also on offer at the “thriving” independent school, home to 620 pupils.
If the children decide they want to get involved in dancing, there’s ballet and jazz classes available too.
Other “enrichment activities” that students can choose from every half term include Farming, Chess, Mountain Biking, Judo, Public Speaking, Debating.
Squash, Sewing, Life Saving, Film Making, Song Writing, Tap, Jazz, and Podcast Making have also made the cut, according to the school’s website.
Not only this, the children will even have the chance to get involved in activities such as clay pigeon shooting and trips to various destinations, including Sweden, France, Italy, Iceland and South Africa, should they wish to.
With the extensive range of activities on offer, it’s no surprise that the siblings are now said to be “very excited” about going to school together.
What’s more, the Cambridge children will also be able to explore the school’s bee farm to learn more about nature.
Meanwhile, the eclectic subject list includes the likes of English, Maths, Science, French, Greek, History, Geography, ICT, Art, Design and Technology.
There’s also lots to help the young Royals’ creative sides as they will also be taught Drama, Art, Music.
And it’s rumoured that Prince William and wife Kate have enquired about the Latin lessons the school offers.
It certainly sounds like the Royal trio will be getting the best education money can buy.
And plenty of fun to go alongside it.
