Inside Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Kensington Palace living room – including some VERY sweet family photos

THEY may belong to the most famous family in the world – but that doesn’t stop Kate Middleton and Prince William from plastering photos of their young children around their homes like the rest of us.

The Duchess of Cambridge previously gave fans a glimpse of the living room in the family’s Kensington Palace apartment when she held video calls with the RAF, Navy and Army and families supported by the Royal British Legion.

Along with some beautiful landscape paintings hanging on the walls, the mum-of-three had some adorable family photos on display – including a couple she took herself.

From Prince George‘s most recent birthday portraits to Princess Charlotte‘s first day of school, Fabulous Digital has tracked down all of Kate’s favourite family photos.

And considering how sweet they are, it’s not surprising the proud mum has put them pride of place.

1. Sweet moment with Louis

This is the only photo on display in Kensington Palace that Kate featured in

The first picture in Kate’s collection is this sweet photo of her and Prince Louis enjoying the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.

This is the only photo Kate herself features in and was taken in her impressive “Back to Nature” garden – which had a swing seat, a rustic den and a campfire.

In May last year, Kate took her three children to explore the garden and shared photos of them scrambling over rocks and grinning on a swing as well as this sweet shot with her youngest.

She said: “The children played in a way I hadn’t imagined. They were throwing stones.

“I hadn’t actually thought that that was what they would be doing. They kicked their shoes off, and wanted to paddle in the stream, using it in a way that I hadn’t anticipated.”

2. Charlotte’s first day of school

To mark Princess Charlotte’s first day at school in September 2019, Kate and William shared this sweet photo of their two eldest children posing together at Kensington Palace.

And judging from Charlotte’s expression, it’s hardly surprising that Prince William told her teachers she was really “excited” for her first lessons.

The princess was pictured in her brand new uniform of a pinafore with a white summer blouse, and black shoes and white socks before joining her reception class of 21 other students at St Thomas’ Battersea in South London.

Meanwhile, Prince George wore a matching jumper with the private school’s crest, smart blue shirt and black shoes and socks.

3. Prince William’s Africa tour

Next to the pictures of the children, Kate also has a framed photo of her husband Prince William.

The Duke of Cambridge looks happy and relaxed as he grinned for the camera during his solo tour of Namibia, Tanzania and Kenya in 2018.

Dressed casually in a khaki shirt and chinos, the Prince is pictured leaning against a Safari car at Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary in Tazmania.

And Kate likes the picture so much that she used it again in 2019 to wish her husband a happy birthday on their Kensington Royal Instagram account.

4. George’s 6th birthday

Kate Middleton took this sweet photo of her eldest son herself for his sixth birthday

For each of her children’s birthdays, Kate releases a photo of them she’s taken herself – and last year’s portraits of George were particularly special.

The proud mum took three photos of her eldest son – including one from their holiday in Mustique and another in a football shirt.

But this image of George beaming in an England football shirt and rolling in the grass is a particular favourite of Kate’s.

The portrait is the biggest photo the proud mum has on display – and according to royal expert Phil Dampier, it showed George as a “normal boy”.
