Inside Mike Tindall’s plans for Royal life post I’m a Celeb… and why he’ll be ‘hiding away’ at next family gathering

THIS is what Mike Tindall’s plans are for Royal life after I’m a Celeb – and why he’ll be “hiding away” at the next family gathering.

The former rugby ace, 44, was booted off the show on Sunday night, after 22 days in camp.

And he’s said family Christmas may involved ‘interesting presents’ and ‘bashfully hiding away’

He was lovingly greeted shortly after by wife Zara, the late Queen’s granddaughter, who ran and hugged him on the famous I’m a Celeb bridge.

But Mike has now revealed what his plans are in the coming weeks, and that he’s expecting “interesting gifts” under the Christmas tree from the Royal Family.

And, he may also “bashfully hide away” from Princess Anne – after telling the world of the time he split his pants in front of her.

Mike appeared on Good Morning Britain today and was asked if he had knew whether members of the Royal Family had been watching him on TV.

He replied: “No, I don’t right now but I’m sure I’ll find out at some point, Christmas is around the corner.

“We will see if some interesting gifts come underneath that tree. I don’t know.

“There’s some sense of humour kicking around in the family.

“So yeah, I’ll wait for some interesting gifts and see how many people were watching.”

Mike was also asked if the Princess Royal would have been watching him retell the time he embarrassed himself in front of her.

He replied: “No, I don’t think she was watching but I think Zara might have told her.

“But I’m pretty sure it’s probably etched into her memory banks for all the wrong reasons.

“So yeah, I’ll probably bashfully hide away from that one.”

Mike lost out to his place in the final against Matt Hancock, Owen Warner and Jill Scott on Sunday.

But when he met Zara on the bridge afterwards, he said: “I have missed you so much.”

Jill, 35, was then crowned the winner of I’m a Celeb last night – after an incredible 12 million votes.

Speaking to hosts Ant Mcpartlin and Dec Donnelly after receiving the news, Jill said: “I just can’t believe it.

“Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes she’s done.

“We were one big team, I don’t think there should be one winner.

“We couldn’t have got through it without all of us.”
