MEGHAN Markle has been slammed by John Humphrys for inviting Oprah Winfrey to the royal wedding after meeting just once before.
The Mastermind host tore into the Duchess of Sussex for choosing the chat show powerhouse for her bombshell interview with Prince Harry.

Humphrys argued the foundations for the tell-all chat were set in motion in 2018 when Oprah got an invite to Harry and Meghan’s big day.
Writing for the Daily Mail, he said: “You did manage to squeeze your old friend Oprah onto the invitation list.
“I say ‘old friend’ but I believe you’d met her only once before the wedding.”
The presenter added “how fortunate” Meghan, 39, was “to make friends so easily”.
ROYAL ROW
He also questioned the couple’s motives for the interview, which was “broadcast to hundreds of millions of people around the world”.
Humphrys asked whether there was the “teeniest contradiction” as Meghan and Harry wanted their privacy respected and to “free themselves of the Royal Family’s shackles”.
The self-proclaimed “ardent republican” has previously taken aim at the Royals.
And he accused Meghan of wanting to be a royal without the duties in a stinging attack earlier this month.
Humphrys, who is stepping down from Mastermind after 18 years, said: “At least initially, it was supposed that in marrying him and joining the Royal Family, Meghan Markle fancied a bit of hand-shaking too.
“Why else would she join since that is what they ‘do’?
“Maybe she was misinformed.
“It would now appear that she thought she could become a duchess and an HRH without having to put on the white gloves.”
Meghan revealed in the interview she wanted to sit down with Oprah in 2018 weeks before the wedding in Windsor – but claimed palace aides stopped her.
The two had met face to face for the first time at Kensington Palace several weeks after Oprah made her request for an interview.
The US TV legend, 67, was then a surprise guest at Meghan and Harry’s £30million wedding in May 2018.
