KATE Middleton and Prince William will be weighed after their Christmas lunch by the King.
As part of a bizarre tradition – once carried out by the Queen – Charles will ask the Prince and Princess of Wales to “weigh themselves”.

In 2018, royal expert Ingrid Seward Ingrid told Grazia that The Queen asks each of her guests to step on the scales.
But it’s to ensure the guests are all having fun and being “well fed”.
The tradition dates back to King Edward VII’s reign in the early 1900s – and will be continued by Charles.
What seems like an odd way to start off the Christmas Day, all members of the Royal Family have to take part.
As the festivities revolve around eating, the Royal Family enjoy a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
They then have afternoon tea and an evening buffet after a long walk around Sandringham.
Before the Queen passed, she always made sure her beloved corgis received special treatment too.
Former royal chef Darren McGrady claimed Her Majesty’s dogs were given the freshest local produce.
Darren wrote: “Even the corgis – there were 12 when I was chef – have individual menus, usually involving a rotation of fresh rabbit, beef or chicken with rice and cabbage.
“We’d jokingly refer to the footmen responsible for the dogs, both named Paul, as ‘Doggy One and Doggy Two’.”
