Meghan and Harry didn’t get Archie any Christmas presents this year – and instead made this kind hearted gesture

MOST kids will wake up on Christmas morning to piles of presents – but not little Archie.

According to insiders, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose not to get their son any gifts this year, instead making a kind-hearted gesture in his name.

According to the New Zealand Herald, the couple got in touch with a local knitwear company Make Give Live and purchased 100 hats on behalf of their tot.

The organisation’s founder Claire Conza described the letter she received from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a “wonderful gift for the organisation.”

She explained: “As Make Give Live operates on a buy one, give one model, this will allow the group to make an extra 200 hats to distribute to families in need next winter through the various charities it supports.”

The family previously showed their support for the charitable foundation when they shared a snap of little Archie wearing one of its hats in January 2020.

The then seven-month-old was held by his doting dad while wearing the cocobear hat costing £34.

For every hat they sell, the socially conscious company will donate another to someone in need in New Zealand and they previously said that the “Archie effect” has helped immensely.

Claire says: “We never could have expected what happened since what we called the ‘Archie effect’ a couple of days ago.

“It has catapulted us on to the world stage, we are blown away, surprised, delighted slightly overwhelmed!”

In other royal news, Meghan and Harry share the secret meaning behind their wedding song in their podcast.

It is not the first time the couple have embraced audio – with Prince Harry editing a Radio 4 episode in 2017.

Meghan also snagged her first post-Royal gig this year, providing the voiceover for a Disney Plus documentary about elephants.
