Meghan Markle ghosted me as she was jealous of the attention I gave to her brother and sister – Thomas Markle

MEGHAN Markle “ghosted” her dad because she was jealous of the attention he gave her brother and sister, Thomas Markle claimed today.

Meghan’s estranged dad, 77, said the Duchess of Sussex wanted him to “stop talking” to her half-siblings but he “couldn’t”.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain from his home in Mexico, Mr Markle said his daughter has “pretty much disowned both sides of her family”.

And he believes his relationship with her half siblings – Thomas Markle Jr, 55, and Samantha Markle, 56 – was part of the reason.

Asked by Richard Madeley why he was “ghosted” by his daughter, Mr Markle said: “There are some reasons she got upset with me.

“One was that she thought I was giving too much attention to her brother and sister.

“She wanted me to stop talking to them and I couldn’t.”

The disgruntled dad, who has not spoken to his daughter in years and is yet to meet his grandkids, added that Meghan was “childish” to cut him off.

He also blasted their ongoing feud “ridiculous,” insisting they “grow up, talk, make up for the sake of the children”.

Meghan has distanced herself from her siblings who have repeatedly slammed her in the media over the years.

Samantha once blasted her sister a “social climber” who is “not fit to be a royal”.

Meanwhile brother Thomas is taking part on Australia’s Celebrity Big Brother, having previously dubbed Meghan a “phony”, a bully, and a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman”.

Asked whether it is right for his son to talk about Meghan on TV, dad Thomas said: “My son Tom has been shunned just like I have been and I’m sure he’s responding the same way others are that (were ghosted).”

He went on to reference former GMB host Piers Morgan’s feud with Meghan, adding: “Piers was right, we all get ghosted. Somebody wants to respond.”

But the dad and grandad was unable to say why the Duchess of Sussex keeps her family “at arm’s length”.

He said: “You’re asking me a question that’s four years old and I can’t answer it.

“I don’t know what changed her. She’s never been that way before and once she hooked up with Harry she changed.

“I understand she hooked up with Soho Club and a different group of people, but she has pretty much disowned both sides of her family and I don’t understand the reason for it.”
