MEGHAN Markle showed off a staggering $384,000 (£277,929) worth of jewellery as she posed on the cover of Time’s 100 most influential people.
The 40-year-old Duchess of Sussex’s bling included two new $525 (£379) diamond pinky rings and Princess Diana’s $23,000 (£16,642) gold cartier watch.
Meghan and Harry were announced yesterday as part of Time’s most influential ‘icons’, alongside tennis star Naomi Osaka, Britney Spears and Dolly Parton.
A snap of the pair, shot by Pari Dukovic, appears on the front of the magazine with Harry wearing all black as he stands behind Meghan, wearing all white.

Princess Diana’s $23,000 Gold Cartier watch
Meghan was seen wearing a pricey Cartier watch that once belonged to Harry’s mother, Diana.
Although it was said to be worth $23,000 when it was given to Diana from her father, it would likely sell for much more now given its royal history.

Diana was spotted with the classic timepiece during a number of events, including a visit to London’s Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple in 1997.
It’s not the only Cartier watch Meghan owns, as she previously splashed out on one when working in Suits.
Two $525 ‘pinky promise’ rings to symbolise women empowerment

Two new pieces that we haven’t seen on Meghan before are $525 ‘pinky promise’ rings from New York-based Shiffon.
The bands are meant to “represent one woman supporting another through a pinky promise”.
The Duet Pinky Ring has two diamonds of differing sizes on a spiral design, which are meant to represent two women coming together.
Other stars including Meghan’s pals Michelle Obama and Serena Williams have been spotted wearing the ring in the past.
$350,000 engagement ring
On her wedding finger was Meghan’s famous $350,000 (£253,254) engagement ring that was designed by Prince Harry.
During the couple’s engagement interview in 2017, Prince Harry revealed he had specifically chosen a gold band for Meghan’s original ring based on her jewellery collection.

He said: “The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s her favourite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection, to make sure she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”
Along with incorporating two of his late mother’s jewels into the intricate design, Botswana is an extremely special place for the royal couple as they jetted off to the country for a romantic African holiday on her 36th birthday ahead of their engagement.

Alongside her Cartier watch, Meghan wore a £5,800 Cartier Love bracelet, which we’ve seen in the past.
It is thought to have been a gift from Prince Harry after they started dating.
The 18ct Cartier band, which is made of two C-shaped halves screwed together, is said to have been inspired by medieval chastity belts.
It even comes with its own screwdriver so you can remove it from your wrist.

The Duchess of Sussex also wore a dainty £3,670 mini gold tennis bracelet for the Time shoot.
It was designed by Jennifer Meyer, estranged wife of actor Tobey Maguire.
On the website, it is described as a “true staple”, and a “chic complement to everyday style.”
Custom pinky ring by Lorraine Schwartz
On her right hand, Meghan wore a custom ring on her pinky feature using a diamond Harry received from the Middle East, according to Page Six.
It’s not the first time we saw it, as Meghan previously wore it in 2020 when she announced she and Harry would host an episode of Time100 Talks.
Page Six reported that the piece is a custom-designed ring created by jeweller Lorraine Schwartz.
