SHE may try to eat vegan during the week, but Meghan Markle is seen scoffing chicken in a newly-unearthed TV film released just months before she met Prince Harry.
In 2016, actress Meghan starred in The Daters Handbook and also got to snog co-star Kristoffer Polaha as part of the story.
In the little-known telly romance, Meghan plays a successful businesswoman called Cass who is unlucky-in-love.
To turn her romantic life around, Cass reads The Daters Handbook self-help book and subsequently ends up dating several men at once.
She eventually falls for a handsome hunk called Robert – played by Kristoffer – and unearthed snaps show their dates, including bowling.
The role was the last movie Meghan made, before marrying Prince Harry and becoming the Duchess of Sussex in 2018.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were set up on a blind date in July 2016 and their relationship blossomed, before they announced their engagement in 2017.
Meghan was starring in Suits while she made The Dates Handbook, with her last episode of the hit legal TV drama airing in 2018.
Despite the chicken munching scenes, Meghan previously told magazine Best Health that she tends to avoid meat between Monday and Friday.
She said: “When I’m filming, I’m conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends.”
Meghan and Harry were said to have been following a healthier lifestyle ahead of the birth of Archie.
In the CBS documentary Meghan and Harry Plus One, Meghan’s makeup artist friend Daniel Martin told Gayle King after the birth: “I’m sure [Archie is] going to be raised clean and green.
“Meghan loves to cook – eating organic whenever she can.
“I totally see her making her own baby food.”
Another source said: “Meghan is an environmentally conscious person and she wants to raise Archie and her future daughter to be the same.

“Whenever possible, Meghan creates plant-based, brightly coloured dishes for Archie as opposed to anything meat or fish based. He loves it.”
However, a meat-centred meal did play a huge part in Meghan and Harry’s romance – as the prince is said to have popped the question over a roast chicken.
Prince Harry told the BBC at the time: “It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month, here at our cottage; just a standard typical night for us.”
Meghan then explained the couple were having a “cosy night in”, adding: “[We were] trying to roast a chicken and it just – just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic.
“He got on one knee.”
