Meghan Markle showcases stunning calligraphy skills in touching surprise Father’s Day gift

SHE IS famously estranged from her own dad – but Meghan Markle appears to be keen to help others celebrate Father’s Day.

The Duchess of Sussex, 39, sent a gift along with a sweet message to author Matt Haig.

Meghan Markle has showed off her amazing handwriting in a sweet Father’s Day gift

In a post on Twitter, the mental health campaigner revealed that the royal mum-of-two had posted him a copy of her new children’s book, The Bench.

Captioning images of the thoughtful present and accompanying note, he wrote: “Well this is nice.”

The duchess penned him a sweet message – that showed off her beautiful handwriting – which read: “Dear Matt, Happy Father’s Day! With love and respect from our family to yours… As ever, Meghan.”

Another note read: “With compliments of the office of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

Haig’s pictures have received more than 4,700 ‘likes’ and over a hundred comments.

One person wrote: “This is lovely Matt, and also what beautiful handwriting.”

A third shared: “Awwww I hope to get a letter from Meghan one day!! My daughter is obsessed with her!!”

And a fourth added: “That’s such a lovely gift.”

It’s not the first time the duchess – who based her new book around husband Prince Harry’s relationship with their two-year-old son Archie – has sent Haig a handwritten message.

In August 2019, she thanked him for being a “force for change”, after featuring his poem ‘A note from the beach’ in the issue of Vogue she guest-edited.
