MEGHAN Markle has been accused of using her new podcast to settle old scores.
The Duchess of Sussex is “being obsessed and stuck in the past, and it’s not an attractive quality”, royal expert Kinsey Scholfield added.
Meghan Markle has been accused of using her new podcast to settle old scores
Her podcast launched as part of a rumoured £18million Spotify deal
It comes after Meghan took a veiled swipe at the Royal Family after launching her long-awaited podcast Archetypes, part of a rumoured £18million Spotify deal.
Ms Scholfield said: “From the outside looking in, there’s an ulterior motive here with this podcast and that’s settling scores.
“With this episode, you kind of see her go after Tom Bower, responding to his claim that she’s ambitious and scheming.
“The book also says that Serena Williams told a media contact they weren’t necessarily good friends and he also questions her Proctor and Gamble story.
“She goes into all those things in the very first episode of her podcast, I think that those might be related.”
Kinsey also commented on an incident in which Meghan says a fire broke out in a room her son Archie was due to sleep in.
She said: “She thought that it was ridiculous that she was expected to continue on with the tour.
“We’re approaching the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana and we know that Diana was defiant. When she didn’t want to do engagements she told Prince Charles ‘no’.
“Megan could have told them that she was refusing to go because there are examples of royals before her that did the exact same thing.
“It’s like it’s martyr Megan 2.0. She is obsessed with this victimhood and I don’t know who she’s trying to attract with it.
“I think anybody that’s on the fence about her is not going to be impressed with two millionaires sitting there on their microphones complaining about how difficult their lives are.”
Commenting on reports that £1,000 are being charged for tickets to events that they will be attending in the UK next month, she told GB News: “I don’t think that I would ever pay that much money to see them complain about their lives.
“But I agree with you.
“Instead of sitting around and complaining about your life, give specific examples of how you accomplished some of the things you accomplished.
“How did you get your role in Suits? How did you get your first headshot? How did you know that this was the career you wanted to pursue?
“There are interesting parts about Meghan Markle. She has successes, let’s celebrate those.
“She is so obsessed and stuck in the past, and it’s not an attractive quality.”
It comes after journalist Omid Scobie said Buckingham Palace is worries about what Meghan will say in her new series.
Omid wrote: “I’m told Buckingham Palace aides were most definitely not keeping calm, nor carrying on after the show’s premiere on Tuesday, worried about what else might be shared over the next 12 weeks.”
He said one aide has since attempted to cast doubt on Meghan’s version of events while another has claimed it’s “unfair” of the mum-of-two to speak when the Royal Household cannot respond.
But he argued “this is the reality the royal institution helped create”.

He said: “Uncensored and unbothered, Meghan, like Harry, has managed to create a healthier and happier existence since being shown the door after the couple’s half in, half out proposal was rejected.
“The two are now free to show their battle scars as and when they see fit.”
