And Meghan, 41, won’t just be going as the doting wife of her 38-year-old husband as she also has an important role to play.

As per the Daily Mail, according to German newspaper Rheinische Post, Meghan will present a farewell show for families and competitors at the end of the two weeks.

Meghan’s part is set to be “very emotional”, while Prince Harry will give the closing speech.

This year, the games will take place just one day after the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

It’s not clear whether Prince Harry and Meghan will visit the UK during their time in Europe or whether they’ll bring their two children Archie, four, and two-year-old Lilibet.

Harry founded the Invictus Games back in 2014 after being inspired by the Warrior Games in Colorado, which he had intended the year before.

The Invictus Games is where Meghan and Harry made their first public appearance together, too, in 2017.

But it wasn’t until last year that she started getting involved in hosting the event as she gave a sweet speech during the opening ceremony to invite her “incredible husband” onto the stage.

“I could not love and respect him more and I know all of you feel the same,” she said at the time. “Because he is your fellow veteran, having served two tours of duty in Afghanistan and 10 years of service.

“He is the founder of Invictus Games and the father of our two little ones, Archie and Lili. Please welcome my incredible husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex.”

Speaking on the importance it has held in their relationship, Prince Harry told People magazine: “The Toronto Games were our first time out and about publicly in an official way.

“We were dating at the time, so it was a lot to take in, but fortunately, we were with the perfect community for that. Now, five years later, here we are in The Hague at the fifth Invictus Games, as parents of two, and living in the U.S.

“I had always wanted to share these incredible moments with someone special, and to have Meg by my side means everything.”
