PENSIONER Margaret Seaman shows off her 18ft ­version of the Queen’s Sandringham estate — painstakingly created from knitted wool.

It even includes versions of the Queen, the late Prince Philip, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children.

Margaret spent 15 hours day on it and said: ‘I was never bored’

Margaret, 92, of Caister-on-Sea, Norfolk, spent 15 hours day on it and said: “I was never bored.”

On display at Sandringham, it even has the Queen’s approval.

Margaret said: “She seemed to enjoy it very much.”

Other woolly landmarks include St Mary Magdalene Church where the monarchy attend the Christmas Day service.

Widow Margaret said about the Queen viewing her knitted attraction: “That was absolutely wonderful, she seemed to enjoy it very much.”

Margaret said: ‘I started it two years ago and knitted the main house the first year and then the second year while we were in lockdown’

Margaret said: ‘Although we were in lockdown I was never bored, or never wished I could go out or anything’

Margaret added: ‘I was quite happy at home knitting Sandringham – I thoroughly enjoyed it’

Margaret says: ‘I knit between 12 and 15 hours a day’

Her Majesty’s country retreat – Sandringham House in Norfolk

She added: “I started it two years ago and knitted the main house the first year and then the second year while we were in lockdown I did the remaining buildings the church and the stables and the museum.

“Although we were in lockdown I was never bored, or never wished I could go out or anything, I was quite happy at home knitting Sandringham – I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“I live with my daughter since I lost my husband and I knit all day, she does everything else and looks after me and does all the cooking – and I knit between 12 and 15 hours a day.”
