The TalkTV host, 57, also attacked the Duke of Sussex for writing an explosive tell-all book in Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee year.

The Duke of Sussex said he wants to ensure Her Majesty has the right people around her

It comes after Prince Harry, 37, insisted he wanted to ensure the “right people” were around his grandmother to “protect” her.

Piers fumed online: “By quitting Britain and living 6,000 miles away? By trashing her family and institution on TV?

“By snubbing Prince Philip’s memorial? By writing a book that will ruin her Platinum Jubilee?”

Last year he stormed off his Good Morning Britain for saying he did not believe Meghan Markle’s claims during her explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.

But regulator Ofcom ruled he was right to have his say and he is set to tell viewers exactly what is on his mind when his TalkTV show launches later this month.

Prince Harry also said the Queen still has her “great sense of humour” after secretly meeting her this week, as The Celeb Report exclusively revealed.

He told US journalist Hoda Kotb: “Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her,” Harry said of the secret visit.

“You know she’s on great form. She’s always got a great sense of humour with me.

“And I’m just making sure that she’s, you know, protected and got the right people around her.”

He said he and Meghan had tea with the Queen, adding: “It was really nice to catch up with her.

“Home for me now is, for the time being, in the State. And it really feels that way as well.

“We’ve been welcomed with open arms and we’ve got such a great community up in Santa Barbara.”

His full interview will air in the US today, which The Celeb Report will cover live.

It is expected to shed new light on Harry’s life with wife Meghan Markle.

The interview comes after fears that the pair, who quit Royal life, could overshadow the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

We revealed today how the pair have been invited to stand on the balcony, under strict instructions to ban Netflix cameras.
