The former GMB host slammed Sheryl Underwood for calling him a racist

Piers called out the host on his Twitter

It’s been said that The Talk’s Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood will “never share the same stage again,” after the talk show is investigated for their on-air drama.

Chaos kicked off recently when the two cohosts squabbled over a difference of opinions about Piers Morgan’s comments of Meghan Markle’s interview.

And Piers himself has now weighed in on the drama.

Responding to an interview where Sheryl claimed she “didn’t do anything to anybody” Piers said: “You did, actually, Ms Underwood.

“You called me a racist for disbelieving Meghan Markle – without producing a shred of evidence that I’ve ever said or written anything racist about her.”

Speaking about her explosive confrontation, Sheryl also said that “I got a good night’s sleep. I slept well” as she inferred that she was not to blame.

Last week Sharon, 68, made it clear she was in ex Good Morning Britain anchor Piers‘ corner after he slammed the Duchess of Sussex after her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

During the sit-down Meghan claimed she felt suicidal while pregnant – she and her husband, Prince Harry, also alleged senior figures in the Royals questioned the colour of their first born Archie’s skin before the pair welcomed him.

However, Sharon’s cohost Sheryl, 57, did not see eye-to-eye with her after Ozzy Osbourne‘s wife said she was supporting Piers’ “freedom of speech.”

Sheryl didn’t hold back as she disagreed with Sharon and acknowledged Piers showed “racial implications with the way he spoke about Meghan” the last time he appeared on their talk show.

During a recent episode of her podcast, Sheryl opened up about the “altercation.”

Sharon said on the show: “Why is it that because I supported a longtime friend and work colleague for years, people go ‘well you must be racist because he’s racist.’

“No. I support his freedom of speech. I’m not racist and neither is Piers racist.

“What have I ever said about anybody that’s racist? It’s not within me. It’s not in my soul.”

The two exchanged words as Sharon ended up in tears during the heated segment.

The duo also refused to apologize on air, as Sheryl and fellow cohost Elaine Welteroth had their reasons, as revealed exclusively by The Celeb Report.

The insider claimed: “Sheryl and Elaine did not want to look weak to the black community who think they went out of their way to educate Sharon. Sharon does not trust that Sheryl and Elaine wouldn’t bury her further on air.

“She does not want to apologize when she feels she was attacked on air for supporting a friend. It was an impasse and there is still tension you can cut with a knife.”
