PIERS Morgan has teased a return to Good Morning Britain – telling fans that he has “put in a call to ITV”.
The 56-year-old star sensationally quit the ITV breakfast show back in March after locking horns with bosses over comments he made about Meghan Markle.
And fans across the country have missed having the outspoken presenter on their screens – with some even using GMB as a bartering tool when Piers showed up late for a flight today.
The TV favourite was returning to London from Edinburgh this afternoon – but almost didn’t get on the plane.
Sharing a selfie taken from his seat, Piers has a thumbs up while wearing a protective face covering over his mouth and nose.
He captioned the post: “Thanks so much to the three delightful ladies from @british_airways at Edinburgh Airport who let us on our flight home when we turned up late….
“On strict condition that I return immediately to Good Morning Britain…
”
Piers cheekily added: “(PS I’ve put a call into ITV…)”
Needless to say, the remark quickly racked up thousands of likes – with followers flocking to the comment section to beg Piers to actually make a comeback.
One wrote: “Gutted you’re no longer gracing my TV every morning.”
Another agreed: “It’s not the same without you, I never watch it now. Even though I didn’t always agree with you
”
A third said: “Please come back.”
The star technically could make his fans’ wishes come true and return to Good Morning Britain at some point, as he recently admitted that he’s still under contract with the breakfast show.
Piers previously revealed that he’d travelled to Scotland for a boozy golf trip, sharing a collection of snaps from the short break to social media yesterday.
