PRINCE Andrew is meeting the Queen every day to make amends for the sex abuse scandal, it is claimed.
The Duke of York sees her at Windsor Castle so often that staff say they can set their watches by his pre-lunch visits, sources added.
It comes after he was pictured beaming at the wheel of his Range Rover today amid reports he is determined to return to public life.
A source told the Mirror: “Andrew is doing all he can to make amends for the shame he brought on his family for being involved in such a scandal.
“He wants to make it up to the Queen which is why he is doing all he can to see her as much as possible.
“The rest of the family, apart from Her Majesty, are united in feeling that he should stay out of the limelight and keep quiet having left such a stain on the family.”

Another insider said he wants to show the family “he is still of some use” by being on hand for his mum after being cast aside.
They added: “Although he has clearly been hurt by being cast aside for the Jubilee celebrations, he has been exceedingly chipper of late and appears completely intent on being on hand for his mum while showing the family he is still of some use.”
They said he often pops in to see Her Majesty before going out riding for the day, sometimes staying after his ride and dining with her.
Sources said his visits increased after Prince Harry met her last month.
Friends added he was “deeply hurt” by the Duke of Sussex’s comments about ensuring the “right people” were around Her Majesty.
They added: “He Andrew has been making regular visits to see the Queen, but she is his mother after all.”
Andrew was essentially banished from the family just four months ago after being sued by Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.
He settled for a reported £12million, although continues to vehemently deny any wrongdoing.
However, despite being stripped of his titles and honours during an emotional showdown with his mother, he has seemingly attempted to make a return to the royal frontline in recent weeks.
The duke will not be allowed to stand on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Jubilee – though it’s likely he’ll be spotted at other public events.

In April, he appeared alongside his mother at Prince Philip’s remembrance service, travelling in her car and walking her down the aisle of Westminster Abbey.
And at the ceremony in June, he’ll appear at St George’s Chapel in a private capacity alongside Her Majesty, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.
