The Duke of York will be given support by the royal household as he bids to rebuild his life after the Virginia Giuffre scandal

The Duke of York paid a multi-million pound settlement to Ms Giuffre, 38, in February over sex abuse claims.

He will attend “all parts” of the ceremony at St George’s Chapel, followed by lunch and a grand procession.

Yesterday a senior royal source told The Celeb Reportday Times: “Clearly at some point soon, thought will have to be given to how to support the Duke as, away from the public gaze, he seeks to slowly rebuild his life in a different direction.”

Andrew, who denied Ms Giuffre’s allegations, missed the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations due to Covid.

But the duke has now recovered from the virus.

His last public outing came on March 29 at Prince Philip’s memorial service.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will be made a Royal Lady of the Order at tomorrow’s Garter Day event.
