PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed they are planning to build a community relief centre in India to help “heal” the Covid-ravaged country.
The announcement, posted to their official website Archewell, was made on the couple’s third wedding anniversary.

“As part of our ongoing philanthropic partnership, Archewell Foundation and World Central Kitchen are announcing plans today to build our next Community Relief Center in India, which is facing a devastating second wave of COVID-19,” the announcement read.
Announcing the new relief centre, the third planned, the Sussexes said: “Right now, COVID-19 cases are spiking across the entire country of India.
“On Tuesday, India’s total virus cases exceeded 25 million, with 260,000 new cases and 4,329 deaths reported in the past 24 hours.”
The centre will be based in Mumbi which is also home to Myna Mahila, an Indian organisation focused on women’s health and employment opportunities that Meghan has previously supported.
The posting also mentioned the other relief centres built by the organization.
“Construction has already been completed on a relief center in the Commonwealth of Dominica; development of a relief center in Puerto Rico is underway,” it read.
The announcement promised that the centre would “provide relief and resilience as well as healing and strength” for those who needed it.
The centre could be used as a response kitchen or a vaccination site if needed or in “calmer times they can serve food distribution hubs, schools, clinics, or community gathering spaces for families.”
On Archie’s second birthday in early May, the royal couple asked for charity donations to aid the global distribution of Covid vaccinations around the world.
They urged their fans to give money to GAVI, which aims to increase access to immunisation in poor countries.
Meghan and Harry said a $5 donation would be matched by organisations to become $20 – which would pay for four vaccines.
They released a joint statement on their Archewell foundation website, saying they are “incredibly grateful” to those who have given money to good causes, volunteered or raised donations on behalf of their son.
Harry and Meghan shared a letter to the CEOs of AztraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Norovax as they launched their campaign to “ensure equitable vaccine access globally”.
They asked the powerful bosses to “act with extraordinary purpose, responsibility, and leadership” to “increase global supply”.

Meanwhile, Sean Hannity slammed Harry as the prince of woke,” telling the Brit to stop lecturing Americans on the First Amendment.
The Fox News host’s comments came after the Duke of Sussex admitted last week that he doesn’t understand the free speech clause in the Constitution.
On Tuesday night, Hannity branded Harry a “royal pain” following the remarks.
He said: “So I got a lot of reaction to comments I made last night about Harry. Now we don’t need Harry coming from England to lecture us on our ‘bonkers’ first amendment that he can’t understand.
‘You think censorship and suppression of thought is a good thing? You want the government to be able to control what people are allowed to think, believe and say?”
Today Princess Beatrice announced that she is pregnant on Meghan and Harry’s wedding anniversary – three years after they did the same at Eugenie’s wedding.
The announcement from Buckingham Palace comes on the anniversary of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018.

Meghan famously announced she was expecting baby Archie on the day of Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie’s, wedding.
