Prince Harry's Mission
During a recent solo trip to South Africa, Prince Harry emphasized the importance of top leaders listening to the voices of young people. The Duke of Sussex, 40, visited the country to drive work for his charity Sentebale, aiming to support children and young people affected by HIV.
Reconnecting with the Past
Reuniting with his old pal and co-founder of Sentebale, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, Harry engaged in discussions about the charity's impact and the need for greater attention from top figures to address critical issues.
A Lasting Impression
Harry's commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in Lesotho and Botswana was sparked during his gap year in 2004 when he spent two months in Lesotho. This experience led him to establish Sentebale in 2006, named after his mother, Princess Diana.
Continued Efforts
During his trip, Harry also had lunch with local leaders and youth advocates, aiming to witness Sentebale's programs in action and meet with those benefiting from the charity's work.
WellChild Awards Tribute
Prior to his visit to South Africa, Harry made a brief stop in the UK to attend the WellChild Awards, where he honored children and teenagers facing challenging health conditions. He praised their courage, perseverance, and kindness, highlighting the strength of the human spirit.
