Prince Harry fires shot at Royal Family claiming ‘they were happy to lie to protect brother’ William but ‘not Meghan’

PRINCE HARRY has taken a fresh swipe at the Royal Family in the latest trailer for his and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix series.

The prince accused the Palace of “not telling the truth to protect” him and Meghan but being happy to lie to protect his brother William in the clip, as the second half of the documentary is set to be released on Thursday.

The video, posted to Twitter, also included Harry talking about “institutional gaslighting”.

Meanwhile Meghan claimed: “I was not being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves”.

However, Harry suggested that royal officials were happy to lie to protect his brother William from scrutiny.

He said: “They were happy to lie to protect my brother. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

However, he did not provide any examples of the alleged lies.

It is the latest in a series of shots the Sussexes have made at the royals in their new show.

In the first three episodes of the new show they provoked controversy as it was revealed they had used fake images to make a point about media intrusion into their lives.

It comes as a new poll revealed that the majority of Brits want the pair stripped of their titles.

The Netlfix show is one of a number of high-profile projects the Sussexes have launched, with Harry’s explosive memoir ‘Spare’ on the way in January.

The book was delayed from this year after reportedly being toned down in the wake of the late-Queen’s death.

On top of the book, Meghan recently completed a podcast series as part of a big-money deal with Spotify.

The couple’s string of publicity-laden appearances have provoked criticism, given their claims that they have been hounded by the press and are desperate for greater privacy.
