Prince Harry ‘HASN’T given Charles or William advance copy of his memoir… but his dad doesn’t want to read it anyway’

PRINCE Harry hasn’t handed Charles or William an advance copy of his memoir – but his father wouldn’t read it anyway, it’s reported.

The Royal Family will read the explosive book at the same time as the public, and have no idea when it will be published, it’s understood.

Prince Harry’s memoir will not be released to members of his family in advance – meaning they’ll read it at the same time as everyone else, it’s reported

However, sources allege Prince Charles is unlikely to be adding the book to his reading list

Their lawyers and advisers have also been kept in the dark, the Telegraph reports.

The manuscript, ghost-written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author JR Moehringer, is believed to have been submitted to publishers and cleared with lawyers.

And The Celeb Report believes Penguin Random House are moving to have it on the shelves in time for the Thanksgiving and Christmas markets in the US.

However, it’s said the Prince of Wales had believed he’d be sent a copy in advance – despite being “blindsided” by the announcement that the tome was in the works.

Sources say that whether he receives the memoir first or not, it was “unlikely to be on his reading list”.

There has been no official word about the “intimate and heartfelt memoir” since last summer, when publishers announced that it was “tentatively scheduled” for late 2022.

Signing Harry for the deal is believed to have cost some £17million – and the silence around the date of publication has led some to speculate that Penguin will launch the book in a “shock drop”.

There are also fears it will be teased with a series of revelations before it’s available to read, much like Harry and Meghan’s 2021 Oprah interview.

However, royal aides say the Royal Family would never sue one of their own – no matter what details are contained in the memoir.

Representatives for the Palace have chosen not to comment on any of the new claims this morning.

It’s understood Harry has been extensively researching the life of Princess Diana.

Angela Levin, who spent a year with the prince as she wrote his biography, has previously quoted a “well-informed source” who said the book will “focus heavily” on his mother.

Meanwhile, another expert claims there is no chance of a reconciliation between Harry and William until the Duke of Cambridge has been able to read the book himself.

Author Phil Dampier said: “I can’t see any chance of a reconciliation between the Sussexes and the Cambridges until Harry’s book is out of the way.

“And it’s likely to make things worse!”

ROYAL RIFT

The Sussexes are planning a return to the UK next month for a string of charity events.

And while they’ll be staying at Frogmore Cottage on the Queen’s Windsor estate — days after William and Kate move into their new home Adelaide Cottage, 800 metres away – there’ll be no meeting between the families.

Instead, it’s understood the royals will be keeping their distance from each other during the trip.

It’s believed Harry and William have spoken face-to-face just twice since the Sussexes moved to California.
