PRINCE Harry “radiates the same sadness” as Edward VIII after he ditched the Royal Family for an American divorcee, a biographer has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex’s great-granduncle had “sad eyes” following his abdication after just 325 days as King to wed socialite Wallis Simpson.

And Prince Harry ‘radiates the same sadness’ as his great-granduncle Edward VIII
And royal expert Hugo Vickers reckons Prince Harry, who left The Firm for California in January 2020 with American wife Meghan, is showing similar signs.
Speaking of the pair, the biographer said: “Both men seemed to radiate sadness after cutting their links with the Royal Family.”
Discussing Edward VIII’s 1936 departure, which sparked a constitutional crisis, Mr Vickers said he had “never seen anyone with such sad eyes” in the years after his abdication.
But he added, that like Harry, Edward VIII would never admit to regretting his decision, The Times reported.

Meghan and Harry ‘worried’ they’re being edged out of Royals, expert claims
“But if you want to know what he really thought, look at his eyes”, Mr Vickers claimed.
The biographer compared this to the Queen who “always had such sparkling eyes” because she dedicated herself to duty.
And while Edward VIII, like Prince Harry, “took the path of perceived happiness” when he married twice divorced Simpson – who died in Paris in 1986 – he did not find it.
Because “in the end it’s duty that makes you happy”, he claimed.
Turning his focus to Duke of Sussex, he added: “As for the Duke of Sussex, who knows what’s going to happen to him?
“I think he looks thoroughly miserable.”
Mr Vickers made the comments at the Henley Literary Festival as he discussed A Royal Life, his 2022 book about the Duke of Kent.
It comes as a new portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was released.

The portraits came just two days after a new picture of The King, The Queen Consort and The Prince and Princess of Wales was released.
