PRINCE Harry raged “Who the hell do you think you are?” at his older brother in a row over Meghan Markle, a new book has claimed.
Author Christopher Andersen alleged Harry became incensed with William shortly before proposing to his then-girlfriend.
It’s claimed that when Wills learned of his plan in September 2017, he replied: “Why rush things?”
But the younger prince lashed out in fury, it’s alleged.
The row reportedly led to William later saying: “It feels like I have lost my best friend.”
It’s reported that friction between the brothers began when members of Harry’s inner circle became concerned about his whirlwind romance with Meghan.
Book Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry And Meghan claims the Duke of Sussex grew “angry” every time he noticed a perceived slight about Meghan, Page Six reports.
He had initially feared his family would believe his wife-to-be was “an opportunist”, it’s claimed.
‘I’VE LOST MY BEST FRIEND’
And while William was initially charmed by Meghan, he began to harbour doubts, particularly after learning of her troubled relationships with her father Thomas and half-siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr.
Samantha and Thomas have given a series of interviews about the duchess, while Thomas Jr urged Harry to call off the wedding, branding it “the biggest mistake in royal wedding history”.
The Markles’ contact with the press would go on to “mortify” Harry and “horrify” William, the book claims.
Mr Andersen is not the only author to suggest the brothers’ rift began over William’s concerns about Meghan.
According to Finding Freedom, a flattering biography on the Sussexes, Harry was “pi**ed off” when William said: “Don’t feel you need to rush this.
“Take as much as time as you need to get to know this girl.”

Palace aides have already rubbished some of the claims made in the book.
Prince Charles has called in lawyers over allegations that he was the “royal racist” who questioned the colour of Archie’s skin before he was born.
It alleges that Charles asked wife Camilla over breakfast: “I wonder what the children will look like?’’
Camilla was said to be “somewhat taken aback’’ and allegedly replied: “Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain.’’
Charles is said to have lowered his voice and added: “I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?’’
Last night Clarence House slammed Mr Andersen’s account.
The Prince’s spokesman told The Celeb Report: “This is fiction and not worth further comment.”
And Buckingham Palace said last night: “We don’t comment on books of this kind as to do so risks giving it some form of authority or credibility.”
A spokesperson for William and Kate had no comment. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan did not respond to requests for comment.
