PRINCE Harry was spotted with what appeared to be a mic during his high-powered tour in New York City.
The black wire that ran from his trouser pocket up into his shirt could be a sign that the couple may have been recording content for multi-million pound Netflix and Spotify deals.
The black cable was spotted by eagle-eyed fans when the Duke went in for a hug Melba restaurant owner Melba Wilson yesterday.
Other photos of the trip to Harlem, including Meghan’s book reading where Harry sat amongst schoolchildren, the Prince was spotted with a black wire running out his pocket.
Meanwhile, the Duchess was sporting unusually heavy attire for the September weather – where reports suggest she could have possibly been concealing a mic system.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a £112m deal with the production company last year after quitting the Royal Family.
In the partnership, the couple agreed to a multi-year deal to produce nature series, documentaries and children’s programming.
Such projects were sought, Prince Harry had claimed in their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview in March, as his family had cut him off financially at the start of 2020 after announcing their Megxit plans.
But he was able to afford security for his family because of the money his late mother, Princess Diana – who died in 1997 – left behind.
In April of this year, the couple revealed their first project for the streaming platform – an Invictus Games documentary.
Prince Harry, who will appear on camera and be an executive producer for the documentary, gushed over the series, saying he couldn’t wait for the series to reveal the “mosaic of resilience”.
In a statement, he said he “couldn’t be more excited” for the series, which will “give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year.”
Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions is working with director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara on the series, which will follow both the athletes and organisers as they prepare for the Games.
The series will follow the competitors around the world on the road to the Games at The Hague.
In July, it was claimed that Meghan had started working on a Netflix series with David Furnish two years before Megxit.
The pair were reportedly in discussion with the streaming giant in 2018, while Meghan and Prince Harry were living in Kensington Palace.
The Duchess of Sussex and Elton John’s husband began working on the new animated series, that has the working title ‘Pearl’, several years ago according to Page Six.
However, it wasn’t till January 2020 that the Sussexes announced their bombshell decision to quit the UK and start a new life abroad, away from the royal family.
Furnish said he and Meghan had been working together on the project for some time.
Page Six reported that “the Netflix series was originally just one of a number of one-off advocacy projects that Markle started work on while a working member of the royal family.
“[These] included her charity cookbook to raise funds for the victims of the London Grenfell fire and the issue of British Vogue that she edited.”
The website claimed it had “been told” by an unnamed source that Furnish and Meghan had been “working on her Netflix project long before she quit England, back in 2018”.
