PRINCE Harry was becoming “seedy” before he started dating Meghan Markle, a new book has claimed.

As a teen Harry dabbled in underage drinking and smoking. He was often pictured looking a little worse for wear while hitting London nightclubs with his aristocratic mates.
In one case he famously hit the headlines in 2012 when photographs emerged of him playing “strip billiards” at a private party in Las Vegas.
And now Low has explained private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton tried to reign him and William in before they became working royals.
He said: “The younger prince was a dashing figure, flying an Apache helicopter, and was heavily committed in the area of children’s health, with charities like Well Child. But he also used to be quite a wild lad.
“When Harry was young, it was easy to forgive him, his transgressions. But at what point does a wild lad become a seedy old roué?
“At the time, it was nothing to worry about: just something to keep an eye on.
“Eventually, of course, the problem would resolve itself, but not in a way that Lowther-Pinkerton or anyone else imagined.
“The wild lad died the day Harry met Meghan Markle.”
Harry’s whirlwind romance with the US TV star began in June 2016 – a year after he wrapped up a decade’s service with the British Army.
The book also claims Meghan told Harry she would break up with him if he didn’t announce publicly they were dating.
According to an extract from the book, as Harry was facing “hordes of journalists” keen to dig into his new girlfriend’s life, Harry “became determined to protect” her.
But at the same time, it is claimed Meghan told him that if he didn’t announce how serious they were, she was out.
The book claims: “A source said: ‘She was saying, “If you don’t put out a statement confirming I’m your girlfriend, I’m going to break up with you”. Harry was in a panic’.
“Another source said: ‘He was freaking out, saying, “She’s going to dump me”‘.”
