Prince Harry's Alleged Loss of Interest in Charity Sentebale After Marrying Meghan Markle

Prince Harry's Involvement in Sentebale

Prince Harry reportedly lost interest in his African charity Sentebale after marrying Meghan Markle and moving to the US. The Duke of Sussex had founded Sentebale in 2006 in memory of his mother, Princess Diana, along with his friend Prince Seeiso.

Claims of Charity's Spirit Being 'Killed'

According to Chief Khoabane Theko, brother of Sentebale's co-founder Prince Seeiso, Harry's alleged loss of interest "killed the spirit" of the charity's survival. The chief mentioned that Harry's passion for Africa and the organization seemed to wane after his marriage.

Resignation from Sentebale

Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso recently resigned from their roles as patrons of Sentebale, supporting the board of trustees who also stepped down due to a breakdown in their relationship with board chair Sophie Chandauka. This decision was made in solidarity with the trustees amidst allegations of an untenable situation.

Response from Sentebale

In response to the resignations, a Sentebale spokesman acknowledged the challenges faced by the organization and expressed appreciation for the involvement of all parties. The charity looks forward to addressing concerns raised by the former patrons with the Charity Commission.
