Prince Harry's Speech Reveals Royal Family Divide, Says Expert

A royal expert has claimed that Prince Harry's recent speech is evidence of the growing divide within the royal family. The Duke of Sussex received the "Living Legend of Aviation" award at a ceremony in Beverly Hills, California, hosted by John Travolta. However, Harry's speech made no mention of the recent health issues faced by his father and sister-in-law, leading to speculation about the state of their relationships.

'A Deliberate Snub'

Royal expert Phil Dampier argues that Harry's silence on his family's health concerns in his speech indicates a significant rift. Dampier suggests that Harry had the opportunity to publicly express his support for his father and sister-in-law but chose not to. Angela Levin, a royal biographer, agrees, calling it a "deliberate snub" and a way for Harry to assert his independence.

The ceremony took place just days after Princess Kate was admitted to the hospital and King Charles was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate. Despite these health issues, Harry did not mention them in his speech, leaving some to question his intentions.

'Cheapens the Award'

While Harry received accolades for his award, not everyone was impressed. Retired Colonel Richard Kemp, a former British Army officer, criticized the event as a gathering of celebrities "massaging each other's egos." Kemp argued that there are many more deserving individuals who have served in the armed forces and should have been recognized instead. He also suggested that Harry's award was based on his status rather than any notable achievements.
