Prince Harry’s swift exit proves we’ve lost him – and we’ll never get him back

HARRY’S swift exit was a snub — and he left onlookers stunned that he had not even hung around long enough to congratulate the new King.

He would not have had time to speak to his brother, or anybody else, which shows how distant he now is.

That he has gone off so quickly shows we’ll never get him back.

He could have stayed for an hour or so and it would not have made much difference to son Archie’s fourth birthday celebrations.

 Harry’s actions seem an attempt to show some power.

I thought the ceremony would have made him think, “What an amazing family, with all their faults, I’ve been part of”.

Possibly Harry did not want to stay because he wouldn’t want to soften. Any conversation with his father would have been difficult but might have been emotionally positive.

I have spent a long time working with him and he had a great sense of duty, so I suspect he came for his father’s sake.

There is no going back for him as long as William is around. It’s desperately sad that it should come to this.

What he really needed yesterday was Meghan at his side. He really needs help, on a day like this or when promoting his memoirs, from his partner.

She should have been there for his sake – even if she didn’t like it.

We know how sensitive he is, so I would have thought she would be very much needed.

I can’t see how Harry would have taken that easily. It must have been a very stressful event for him, with everyone watching his every move.

When he walked into the Abbey all alone, he had his thumbs tucked inside very clenched fists, which is a sign of stress.

No one cheered or booed when he arrived. The public did not show much interest in him. People have moved on.

William did not turn round to see him.

He was sitting on the same row as Prince Andrew and next to 86-year-old Princess Alexandra, who has not been a working royal for many years. Harry was very much out of it.
