Wishing the squad good luck
Prince William, President of the FA, bid farewell to Gareth Southgate's 26 hopefuls as they departed for Germany for the Euros. The royal chatted with the Three Lions boss and presented shirts to each squad member before their journey.
A festival of football
Schools from the Midlands were also invited to St George's Park for a football festival, where schoolchildren played friendly matches. As the team left, the nation eagerly anticipates cheering on the boys in the summer soccer spectacular back home.
Luxurious training base
England's remote but luxurious base, with three golf courses and a spa, is considered the best soccer HQ among Euro teams. The team will start training on a Wembley-quality pitch to prepare for their opening match against Serbia on Sunday.
Warm welcome in Germany
The team's hotel near Blankenhain was prepared with "welcome bags" for each player, including wine, crackers, and dumpling broth. Germany's national team had trained at the same hotel before England's arrival, with Bayern Munich's Thomas Müller leaving a note for Harry Kane, wishing him well with a touch of humor.
