CHRISTMAS Day is a big deal for us Royal fans – on the one hand, we’ve got The Queen’s annual address to look forward to and then we get to see the family arriving at church in Sandringham.
But beyond seeing them walk in, the actual service has always been a strictly private affair – until now.
In Apple+’s new podcast Time to Walk, Prince William gave insight into what happens with the Royal Family all attend the service together.
He said: “What’s very good about it is that we sit opposite each other as a family.
“Growing up, having my cousins sat opposite me has always been quite difficult to keep a straight face at times.
“I have had the giggles many, many times in the service. Luckily, no one’s filming it. So you can get away with it, and on Christmas Day, it’s fun to have a giggle and enjoy yourself.”

What’s more, the Duke shared his fond memories of his late grandfather Prince Philip on Christmas morning too.
He said: “I have strong memories of walking down [to the church], and my grandfather, he used to walk so fast that there’d be huge gaps and spaces between all of us walking down, and there’d be us at the back with little legs trying to keep up.
“You know, I think, over time, you start to feel quite attached to those moments and those memories before.”
The Queen is expected to spend her first Christmas since Prince Philip passed away at her Sandringham estate in Norfolk surrounded by her close family – including Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Last week, royal expert Katie Nicholl claimed Kate Middleton and Prince William WILL send their niece and nephew Christmas presents – despite their rift with Harry and Meghan.
Speaking to Ok! magazine, royal expert Katie Nicholl said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge still want to keep their Christmas traditions going
When asked if they would be sending Archie and Lilibet presents, Katie said: “Yes, of course.
“They give gifts to the whole family and that includes all their nieces and nephews.”
